OUR HISTORY

God’s Field Church launched in October of 2022. We are a church plant that started in the Old Crow coffee shop in Ambridge PA. The owner was gracious to allow us to start a prayer meeting and Bible study in 2018. We also moved to a house in Ambridge 2019 to start gathering a core group for Bible study, starting the church and family meals together for unity. During Covid in 2020 we met in the house church and continue with our bible study. God’s field Church then went to First Baptist Church in Ambridge PA with blessing and help of Pastor and their congregation. We met on Saturday evenings. We stayed there for almost a year. In 2021 we moved into a store front on 8th street and opened a outreach ministry center to serve the community of Ambridge with free resources pamphlets, flyers, business cards, and many informational brochures for Beaver county along with free coffee, water, clothes, food item, and bus schedules. October 9, 2022 we had our first Church service and the installation of Pastor Ken Sachs as the pastor of God’s Field Church. Akiko and I and the church is continuing in building relationship and immersing ourselves into the community of Ambridge. Meeting people is our passion and we love sharing about God, the need we all have for Him and how he can change anyone life no matter the struggle we are going through. Akiko and I are proud to be part of the North American Mission Board and the Baptist Resource Network as Missionary Church Planters. We would love to meet you. God bless you.

Pastor Ken Sachs

Pastor Ken grew up in Holy Family Institute orphanage in Emsworth, PA from age 5 to age 17. Then placed in Lutherans Children’s Home where he attended Seneca Valley High school. He met a friend who played on the basketball team with him. He and his family invited Pastor Ken to visit their home and he eventually lived with them. He accepted Christ as his Lord and personal Savior while living with and going to Christian Youth camp.
He graduated High School in 1984 and went in full time to the Military, US Navy in 1986. He met and married his lovely wife Akiko in 1991. They have two children, Gabriel, 27 and Christopher, 24. He retired from the military in 2006 and moved back to PA in Beaver County.
They attended Cranberry Baptist Church and in 2014 Pastor Ken was ordained in the gospel ministry. In the same year he became an Student Pastor. Pastor Ken received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of Management and Technology in Virginia. Pastor Ken then enrolled in Seminary at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia and graduated in 2018 with a Master of Divinity.
During my second year of Seminary at Liberty University I was called to be Church Planter. Akiko and I prayed and God led us to Ambridge PA. We went through an assessment through the North American Mission Board in 2018 in Brooklyn, New York to help us focus on our calling and mission for the community God was sending us to.
In 2020 Pastor Ken became a church planter, assessed through the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and working closely with the Baptist Resource Network (BRN).

Colette

Worship Leader

My name is Colette and I serve as the worship leader for God's Field Church. Worship is important because it comes from the heart and is poured out to our heavenly father. Leading worship is important to help center the service on God and turn our hearts to hear what he has for us. At our church we worship with 4 songs each Sunday and allow God each week to direct my hearts on what songs to choose.

Bible Study Leader

I currently live in Green Tree, and I travel a good distance to come to God’s Field Church. Why? Because God’s word lives there.I Currently teach Bible Study at God’s Field Church on Mondays from 6 to 7 PM, we are studying in the book of Acts.I pray and would love for the church to grow.Doing things at church makes me believe that I make a difference in the church and the community.Helping to start a church is hard, but it is rewarding. You see God at work in lives of people using their gifts and talents that he has given them. Doing the will of God is what we are called to do.Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Patty

Children's Ministry Director

Patty has a heart for children and loves to teach them about God. She is currently using the Gospel Project curriculum and loves to include activities and crafts in showing principles from God's word.
